Assembly Progressing on Boeing 787 Dreamliner

LE BOURGET, France, June 23, 2007 – Progress continues on the final assembly of the all-new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This picture, taken June 13, shows the horizontal stabilizers attached to the tailcone with the vertical fin in the background. Mike Bair, 787 vice president and general manager, told media at the Paris Air Show that installation of both these assemblies is now complete. Final assembly of the first 787 began on May 21 at the Boeing facility in Everett, Wash. The Dreamliner is on schedule to roll out on July 8, 2007.

The changing planet, the warming climate, the mistakes of humanity, and possible ways of responding to this global crisis: these were the issues addressed by Al Gore, former vice president of the United States, who was talking with an audience of young people, researchers, and business leaders at the Milan Triennale on 14 June, as guest speaker for Fabrica, the communications research center of the Benetton Group.

Saint-Imier / Rotterdam, 20th June 2007 – Swiss watch brand Longines continues its involvement with equestrian sports, this year as official partner and timekeeper of the CHIO Rotterdam, set to take place from 20th to 24th June 2007. Longines will present the prestigious Longines Grand Prix Port of Rotterdam, and will judge its fourth stage (after La Baule, Rome and St. Gallen) for its unique prize: the Longines Press Award for Elegance. A jury drawn from the equestrian and sporting press will elect the most elegant male and female riders.

CHICAGO, June 21 — Harley-Davidson is opening the metaphorical garage door to thousands of women interested in motorcycling. Over the past decade, women have increasingly embraced the sport of motorcycling — seeking the freedom and empowerment associated with riding solo on the open road. Women represent 10% of the U.S. motorcycle population, and nearly 12% of new Harley-Davidson purchasers are women. The Garage Party events are one way that Harley-Davidson reaches out to women to encourage them to learn more about motorcycling.

Zoom Airlines Ltd., the UK sister company to Canada’s premiere low cost, full service, transatlantic airline, announced today that it is landing in the United States. The low-fare, full- service airline will operate daily flights from New York’s JFK Airport to London Gatwick for $199.00 each way, excluding taxes. And, as a special promotion, flights departing from JFK between June 22 - July 13, 2007, will be offered for $99.00 one way, with taxes included.
